The purpose of the Chewelah ARTS Guild is to support within the greater Chewelah community the growth, development, appreciation and understanding of the ARTS in their various forms and to make the ARTS accessible to all members of the greater Chewelah community. For over 8 years, the Chewelah ARTS Guild has been fulfilling this mission through events and programs like the Chewelah Community ARTS Festival in February, March's Souper Supper, May's Quilt Show in the museum, ARTS fun in July's Chataqua Children's Pavilion. The ARTS Guild has sponsored Concerts in the Park and produces and distributes a quarterly Newsletter in support of local Artists and ARTS education and events. The ARTS Guild's Rainbow Fund provides Mini-Grants to area ARTS students. An Annual Senior Scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior planning to continue ARTS education. The Guild has worked with the City of Chewelah to improve the Civic Center. The Guild collaborates with Community Celebrations and the newly-founded group, Chewelah Performing and Cultural Arts Center, PACA, to work toward providing a performing ARTS facility, devoted also to ARTS education and visual ARTS display. The ARTS Guild works to inspire, celebrate, and support the community through the ARTS. It has a current membership of 65 and is an all-volunteer non-profit organization.
