SPOTLIGHTon Member KAN-DHO ELECTRICAL, INC.
In 1989 John D’Hondt, a Chewelah electrician, started a small electrical contracting business out of his home. By 1995 the business had grown enough to merit building a shop to house the still growing business. That shop still sits at 1965 C Highway 395 S. and has become an icon to travelers on 395. When Mr. D’Hondt retired in 2003, the business was purchased by Russ Mosteller, who had been D’Hondt’s shop supervisor for five years and had facilitated major growth in the company. Russ, together with his shop supervisor, Dean Fantasia, now run four full time crews with a total of nine electricians. They are supported in the office by Glenna Lundquist. Russ, Dean, and their crews perform residential and commercial electrical contracting services throughout Stevens County. Some of their recent projects include wiring the Valley School; the new medical clinic for NE Washington Health Programs at Suncrest; and the U.S. Forest Service Information Building in Kettle Falls.
